Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, ask us — we will add it.
Do I need my own domain name?
No. Every gallery gets a free address such as yourname.artgyver.com the moment you sign up, and it works straight away. If you already own a domain, or buy one later, you can point it at your gallery and it becomes your main address instead. Nothing is lost when you switch.
Can I change my shop address later?
Yes, from Settings → Domain. Bear in mind that links people have already saved or shared will point at the old address, so it is worth settling on one early.
Who prints and ships the work?
We do — all of it. You upload your images and set your prices; we print, mount, frame and ship every order directly to the buyer. You never handle a print, a frame or a parcel. The order appears in your dashboard so you know what sold, but there is nothing for you to make.
How does framing work?
You are not limited to one frame. A buyer picks a moulding from the frames on offer and a border width, and sees the piece drawn inside that frame before buying. The frame is priced the way a framer prices it — by the foot, for the print plus the border on all four sides, with an allowance for the mitres.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes. Every size in every finish can carry your price. Start from the built-in print pricing and change what you want to change.
Do I need a printer, or to hold stock?
No. There is nothing to buy and nothing to store. Work is printed when it is ordered, so you are never left holding stock that did not sell, and you can offer a large size without owning a printer that can produce it.
What if someone wants to negotiate?
Turn on offers and a buyer can propose a price. It arrives in your dashboard and you accept or decline; either way they are emailed, and an accepted offer becomes a price they can check out at.
Will my work be found on Google?
Titles, descriptions, sitemaps, structured data and a product feed are generated as you add work. That is the groundwork; being found still depends on your work and how you share it.
Can I sell original pieces, not just prints?
Yes. Originals sit alongside prints with their own availability, so a piece can be sold once while prints of it stay available.
What happens to my work if I stop?
It is yours. Your images stay your own and you can take them with you at any time.
How do I get help?
The help centre has a page for each part of the dashboard. If it does not answer your question, get in touch.
